The Moodagent app needs Internet access for syncing your library. Once that is completed you can enjoy the app without connecting to the Internet. Syncing only occurs when you first install Moodagent or when you add new songs to your library.

The most common reasons are:? (1) The song is too short — 30 seconds or less? (2) The song is DRM protected. Try profiling the song every few weeks, as someone else may profile a non-DRM version of the same song.

When Moodagent is syncing, it simply connects to our servers to get high-definition track profiles for your songs.
