This One is For the Fans: Syntonetic Launches Moodagent v2.1 for Android With Exclusive Features

New ad-free version offers more freedom, widget for control from Android desktop

COPENHAGEN, Denmark (September 22 2010) – Developed expressly for Moodagent fans, Syntonetic^TM, creator of music playlisting and recommendation technologies, today announced Moodagent v2.1 for Android with an exclusive new set of features. Well-received in the Android community since its launch in July, Moodagent uses a unique technology that has made it possible for people to enjoy music in a completely new way, allowing the app, which understands music the same as a human, to choose music for them.

In response to consumer requests, Syntonetic has added a new widget to Moodagent that provides for direct control of the app from the Android desktop screen, while Moodagent runs offscreen, in the background. One of the most-wanted features, the widget makes it possible for Android consumers to multitask on their smartphones, listening to music while utilizing other functionalities and apps on the device.

Moodagent uses artificial intelligence and music science to generate playlists based on emotions. Touchscreen sliders – Sensual, Tender, Happy, Angry and Tempo – let the listener communicate his or her feelings to the app so it knows which music to choose. The result is a playlist of the listener’s favorite tracks that work well together, and can be quickly-compiled for a quiet dinner, impromptu gathering of friends or countless other events.

Additional new features introduced in Moodagent v2.1 for Android include:

• Headset Controls. Control the app via a cabled or Bluetooth headset, including play/pause, skip forward or backward, stop.
• Last.fm Scrobbling. Tell Last.fm which tracks Moodagent plays, in order to build and improve Last.fm profile.
• Delete Playlists. Discard saved playlists no longer needed.
• Album Art. View the original artwork that appeared on the album jacket.
• Slider Animations. Touchscreen sliders auto adjust when a seed track is chosen.
